Perpetual Evolution

Turning 'stuck' into a clear next step.

Why Me.

Hi, I'm Sijbren. When I was a young girl, I had a horse named Lady Luck, a gorgeous reddish-black Tennessee Walker with one white sock and a marking on her forehead that looked, if you squinted, like the state of Florida. I got a job at a horse stable just so I could save up and buy her myself. When I finally did, it was one of the happiest moments of my childhood.
What I didn't know yet was that Lady was also about to teach me how to do the work I do today.
Growing up with her, trained in natural horsemanship, I learned patience, peacefulness, and trust; but more than anything, I learned how to motivate without force. I learned to listen insightfully, to notice the smallest shifts, and to gently guide rather than push. Lady never responded to bullying. She responded to being asked, understood, and trusted. Those lessons - earn the trust first, then guide, don't shove - turned out to apply to a lot more than horses.
In the years since, I've lived a fairly winding life, which I consider an asset. I've managed logistics and driver training for a fleet at a national park in Alaska. I've run food and beverage operations behind the scenes. I spent years as a DJ and trivia host, reading a room and adjusting on the fly to keep a hundred strangers having a good time. I've led program teams supporting displaced children and mothers, coordinating trainings and holding together operations that had to work, every day, for people who were in the middle of enormous upheaval in their own lives. And I have volunteered with an equine-assisted therapy program, helping veterans with PTSD and women and youth healing from trauma reconnect with trust and calm through the same kind of work Lady once did with me.
Somewhere in the middle of all that reinvention, I went back to school and earned my Master's in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, summa cum laude - the formal study of how people actually move through change, what makes them resist it, and what makes it stick. It gave me the language and the research to back up what Lady, and every pivot since, had already been teaching me in real time.
I tell you all of this not because I think you need to know my resume, but because I think you deserve a coach who has actually stood where you're standing; at the edge of a change that feels bigger than you, without a clear map for what comes next. I've been the person leaving a stable job for the unknown. I've been the person starting over in a new place, a new role, a new version of myself. I know the fear, the inertia, and the quiet resignation that can creep in when a transition drags on; and I know, from both research and lived experience, what actually moves someone through it.
That's the work I do now. I help people turn "stuck" into a clear next step, one small win at a time; and with the same patience, trust, and gentle guidance Lady once showed me.

How We'll Work Together:

  • Every transition — a career change, a move, a chapter you didn't see coming — tends to follow a similar shape. I use a five-step method called T.R.U.S.T. to help you move through yours with clarity instead of chaos, one small step at a time.

T.R.U.S.T. Method

StepWhat it does
TTake StockName what's changing, and why
RReframe the FearSee what's really holding you back
UUncover the VisionGet clear on where you're headed
SSmall WinsBreak it into small, workable steps
TTalk It Through & Track ItKeep support and reflection ongoing

A no-pressure, 20-minute conversation to talk through what you're facing and see if we're the right fit. No pitch, no obligation, just a real, honest look at where you're at and whether coaching (and I) can actually help.
Best for: you're not sure yet what you need, or just want to talk it through before committing to anything.

A focused four-session package for anyone standing at the edge of a big change: a new job, a move, a breakup, a decision you can't put off any longer. Together, we'll name what's actually shifting, work through the fear or hesitation keeping you stuck, and get you a clear vision and a concrete first step forward.
Best for: you know something needs to change, and you want help getting unstuck.

A complete partnership, over two to three months, for a transition that's bigger than a single decision; a career overhaul, a major life pivot, truly starting over. We'll work through the full T.R.U.S.T. method together: naming what's ending, getting through the messy middle, building a clear vision, and turning it into small, doable wins until your new normal actually feels normal.
Best for: you're in it for the long haul and want ongoing support the whole way through.
